Taxis, parallel import and personal import: what to know

Can these vehicles be licensed as taxis?
Yes. The minibuses and passenger cars marked "Taxi-ready" arrive in a specification suited to taxi or shared-taxi licensing. The taxi licence itself is issued by the Ministry of Transport; ALI FLEET supplies the vehicle, the paperwork and the licensing support, and hands over a vehicle ready for work.
What is the difference between parallel import and personal import?
Parallel import brings in a new vehicle through a licensed importer other than the official one; personal import registers the vehicle in the customer’s own name for private use. On both routes ALI FLEET sources the vehicle in Europe, the USA or Canada, handles shipping, customs, taxes and licensing, and delivers a vehicle ready to drive at a final price agreed up front.
How long until the vehicle is with me?
A new vehicle to order usually arrives 4–6 weeks after the order is confirmed, including shipping and Israeli licensing. A used vehicle from our lot in Reineh is handed over within a few days.

    Shipping & customs

    We book the shipping and handle the export papers, customs clearance and taxes at the port in Israel.

    Delivery & plates

    Licensing, roadworthiness test and ownership transfer: the vehicle reaches you ready to drive.
